The company is engaged in the production, sale and export of fish-meal and fish-oil. It was established in 1950 as Limitada de Productos Químicos SJ. The company has its registered head office in Arteixo, Coruña, Spain. The company offers fish meal and tuna meal. It processes raw fish at its installations by modern production methods, with high-tech machinery and experienced personnel, using good manufacturing practice. The fish meal can be delivered in bulk, packed in bags of 40 kg and big-bags of 1000 kg, gross fornet. Every delivery, the bulk or bags are labelled as ingredient name, supplier name, origin, date of manufacture or packing, batch number, net weight and other analytical information. Only 30 per cent of the fish-meal produced by the company is destined for home market. Almost all the production is exported to the Asian and European markets. As for the fish-oil, the company is involved in a corporation named AFAMSA (Agrupación de Fabricantes de Aceites Marinos, S.A. (or Corporation of Marine Oils Limited). All the fish oil production from the company, as well as the production of other AFAMSA members, is commercialized by AFAMSA, in order to obtain a more efficient intervention in the market than each partner alone.
